Umbria Wreck

Wingate Reef, Port Sudan, Sudan

About this site

A perfectly preserved 150m Italian freighter deliberately scuttled in 1940 carrying 360,000 aircraft bombs. Lies on its port side at 60 degrees. The holds contain rows of bombs, Fiat cars, and wine bottles. Easy penetration makes it one of the world's best wreck dives. Long bottom times possible.
